I like Windows Mail, Vista’s replacement for Outlook Express. In comparison to its older sibling OE 6, it makes a lot of things simpler and easier. For one, exporting and importing your messages actually works! In OE6, The import worked well, however the Export feature would export only to Microsoft Outlook or Exchange i.e. premier (paid) Microsoft email products. With the proliferation of free software which can do all that OE does and more, Microsoft seems to have reconsidered their policy towards people who would not need or want to migrate to a more expensive Microsoft Solution. Well, better late than never, lets get our (e)Mail going!
Open Windows Mail and you should be prompted by the familiar start up wizard of Outlook Express dressed in new clothes. Click the first icon below and follow the instructions shown in the screenshots.

If the wizard pops up, skip these first three steps... else open Windows Mail and click on Tools > Accounts

Select Email Accounts and click Next

Click on Add
